  3. With a telescope focal length of 1.652 m and a pixel size of 21 micrometer, the plate scale of the EIT images is 2.6 arc 
  4. sec per pixel. The optics are divided into quadrants of matched multilayer pairs that are tuned to bandpasses selected 
  5. for observation of the chromosphere and corona at all phases of the solar cycle. The quadrants are isolated by a rotating 
  6. mask that permits only one bandpass to view the Sun at a time.
